Volunteers

Would you like to work with children and young people?  Can you spare a few hours a week to help make a difference? Would you like to gain new qualifications and experience?  Why not become a volunteer?   We are currently looking for volunteers from all backgrounds with all types of experience.

Sports Development Assistant

The Sports Development Assistant is responsible on leading the delivery of multi-sport and activity programmes, supporting the development of activity for for onsite partners and community and will be involved in the planning and delivery of various national sport, health and physical activity campaigns.

Gymnastics Coach 

The Gymnatics Coach is responsible for planning, preparing and delivering all Gymnastics coaching sessions and to maintain accurate administration records for all sessions in line with the facilities processes and procedures. The applicant must hold a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification in Gymnastics.

Sports Coach

The Sports Coach is responsible to plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions as specified by the line manager and associated delivery partners. The candidate must assist in the organisation and promotion of sport and recreational activities and distribute relevant publicity material and maintain accurate administration records for all sessions in line with the facilities processes and procedures. The applicant must hold a minimum Level 1 or 2 Sports Specific Coaching qualification.

Duty Manager

The duty manager is responsible for the day to day management of the leisure centre, the supervision of staff and health and safety.  We are looking for a real people person with excellent customer care skills, problem solving and time management skills.  The applicant must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
 

Lifeguard 

The lifeguard is responsible for supervising the swimming pools, cleaning and the setting up and dismantling of equipment.  Applicants must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and possess good communication skills.

Swimming Instructor

Swimming instructors are responsible for teaching the H2O Swim Life swimming lesson scheme to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Applicants must hold a Level 2 Full Teachers qualification and current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Reception

Receptionists are responsible for taking payments and bookings and providing information to customers both in the centre and over the telephone. Applicants must have excellent customer care skills, a good telephone manner and pleasant personality
