Stoke Mandeville welcomes archery elite to national championships
Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is pleased to host the annual WheelPower/British Wheelchair Archery National Championships and International Invitational Event this year, which are taking place this month from the 18th- 22nd July.Welcoming more than 15 teams from around the world, the National Championships, now in their sixth year, will see some of the top athletes in this sport discipline compete to win the prestigious title.
Ian Seabrook, Stoke Mandeville Stadium’s Business Development Manager comments, “We are thrilled to be hosting such a fantastic event. The competition promises to be an exciting event and we hope our local community will be able to come down and cheer on our competitors.”
David Hilton commented, “It’s great to see elite wheelchair archery back at Stoke Mandeville Stadium- the home of wheelchair sport. As well as showcasing the best wheelchair athletics talent from around the globe, the Championship promises to be a fun day out and will hopefully encourage more people, both disabled and able bodied, to try out this fantastic sport.”
