The team has been working for the past twelve months in ensuring that they meet the criteria of this quality assurance award aimed at the hotel, conference and catering provision of the venue.

Hotels and conference venues form the large proportion of businesses that have the Hospitality Assured Accreditation, but many types have achieved including The London Marriot Hotel, Wyboston Lakes Business & Leisure Village, universities, healthcare and tourism to name but a few. Stoke Mandeville Stadium is the first leisure centre to attain the accreditation.

The criteria measures the different areas of business with particular attention to methods of obtaining customer feedback, the response and review to this feedback, and the operational procedures in place to ensure a persons visit or stay with is fully satisfactory.

The assessment was completed over a 2 day period by a fully trained assessor who provides a full review against the criteria.

Lynn Britten, Centre Manager said ‘it is a massive compliment to the team here at Stoke Mandeville Stadium that they were able to improve the score so much. A great deal of hard work has gone into this and it shows how diligently our team works towards service and business excellence.’
