Stoke Mandeville Stadium hosts Icelandic Paralympic team training camp
Home of Paralympic Sport in Aylesbury – Stoke Mandeville Stadium has recently hosted a pre-Games training camp for the Icelandic team in a bid to prepare athletes for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The aim of the pre-Games training camp was to create team spirit amongst the athletes and grow a sense of mutual ambition and unity.
Padraig Herlihy, Managing Director of Smaller World, which is an international sports company that arranges training camps such as this one said: “We love working with Stoke Mandeville Stadium and putting International teams in touch with them. The facilities are first class and enable teams to bond as well as take advantage of the excellent sporting amenities on offer. We’d like to thank them on behalf of the Icelandic Paralympic team.”
