British Wheelchair Sports Awards Winners Honoured at Paralympic Birthplace

The countries finest wheelchair athletes were honoured on Saturday night at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympics.

The British Wheelchair Sports Awards were once again the highlight of the years disability sport calendar. The Junior Awards were won by Welsh Wheelchair Welsh Racer Daniel Lucker and wheelchair basketball player is 17 year old Laurie Williams who made such an impact at the 2009 European Wheelchair Basketball Championships earlier this year. Best newcomers were pistol
shooter Jean Guild and Wheelchair Basketball player Simon Gibbs.
